General SFN Set up SFN TV Now is the newest way to watch TV from SCTC! For best experience, SFN TV Now requires you to have SCTC or PVEC fiber internet access. If you do not have Internet service, SCTC may have an option for you! Please call our Customer Service at 276-452-9117! Once you have signed up for SFN TV Now - powered by SCTC, you will receive a login to your email in order to login to your SFN TV Now programming. I have my SFN TV Now Login. Now what? Congratulations! You have received your SFN TV Now login from SCTC. What now? You can watch SFN TV Now programming on your Smart TV, mobile device, web browser, or streaming device. Once the app is downloaded from the Android or Apple App Store, you will be user to use your login credentials to access your programming! You can also use your login on the website: no w.sfn-tv.com /assets/iPhone/registration/register_1.html SFN TV Now on a Mobile Device Whether you are on Apple or Android products, the SFN TV Now app is available! It is free to download in both the App Store or on Google Play. Once the app is installed, you will be asked to enter your username, password, and device name. The device name is whatever you wish to label your device as. After the credentials are entered, you are ready to watch. You can also swipe in all 4 directions to pull up additional menus. Hold down on a specific program for additional options such as recording you favorite shows. Tutorial video coming soon! Please look at the top right corner for your casting option. You can press the icon to cast your SFN TV Now screen to your linked casting device and play it on your TV. SFN TV Now from a Web Browser Now to reach SFN TV Now no matter what browser you are using, SFN TV Now is available to you with your login information. By going to now.sfn-tv.com/assets/iPhone/registration/register_1.html , you will be able to log in, and immediately start watching, schedule recordings, and view upcoming shows on your favorite networks. When you first log in, you will see the guide. To go full screen, simply mouse over the full-screen icon at the bottom left of the currently playing show and click! You are now in full-screen mode. To exit, simply press the escape key or double-click the center of the screen with the mouse. Tutorial video coming soon! SFN TV Now on a Smart TV Many SmartTVs allow downloading of apps; some do not such as models of Samsung and LG. If your SmartTV allows apps to be downloaded, you will Search and Download the SFN TV Now app. If your SmartTV does not allow you to download apps or the SFN TV Now app is not available to be downloaded, you will need a streaming device for the best SFN TV Now experience. SFN TV Now on a Streaming Media Device Before using SFN TV Now with a streaming media device, be sure to setup your streaming device account or have your login credentials to get started. Go to the Search Bar and type in SFN TV Now. **Depending on the device, you may need to log into your streaming device account and add a channel to the device and approve adding the channel with a code. Other streaming devices allow you to add to each individual device by entering your log-in credentials. See instructions for your particular streaming device.** Download the SFN TV Now App. Once the app is installed, it will prompt you to enter in your username, password, and ask you to name the device (you can name your device whatever you wish to label it). Once this is complete, you are ready to watch! You will be able to surf the channel guide, record future programming, and view information about available programming. Tutorial video coming soon! Email Support iOS Devices IMAP Configuration Guide for iOS Devices: iPhone, iPod, and iPad. Go into the Settings icon. Scroll down to Mail Select Accounts . Select Add Account . Select Other . Select Add Mail Account . Enter in your Name - (Ex: Jane Doe) Enter your email address - (Ex: janedoe@sctv.coop or janedoe@mounet.com ) Enter a Description - (Ex: SCTV Email or Mounet Email) Select Save . You may also need these additional settings: Under the Incoming Mail Server, add the following: Host Name: If your email ends with @mounet.com: mail.mounet.com If your email ends with @sctv.coop mail.sctv.coop Username : Your email address - (Ex: janedoe@mounet.com or janedoe@sctv.coop ) Password : Your email account password. Select Save . Android Device Email Setup Guide for most Android devices. Open the Gmail app and navigate to the Settings section. Select Add Account Select Personal (IMAP/POP) and select Next. Choose the type of email account you will be using: IMAP will store the emails on the server and show a copy on your device. IMAP is the best in most cases. Enter the password for your email account and tap Next . Incoming Server Settings Username: Enter your full email address Password: Enter the password for your email account Server: mail.sctv.coop or mail.mounet.com Port and Security Type: If you are using IMAP, please choose either: Secure - Port 993 and Security Type: SSL/TLS Insecure - Port 143 and Security Type: None Outgoing Server Settings Select Require Sign-In Username: Enter your full email address Password: Enter the password for your email account Server: mail.sctv.coop or mail.mounet.com Port and Security Type: Secure - Port 587 and Security Type: SSL/TLS Insecure - Port 25 and Security Type: None Once the settings are entered, select Next . Windows Mail Setup Setup Guide for the default Windows Mail application. Click the Windows button in the task bar and search "Mail ." When Mail opens for the first time, you will get an "Add an account " screen, simply choose "Other account (IMAP/POP) " After clicking Other account, it will prompt you to enter your email address, name, and email account password . Once you enter this information, click Next or Sign In . If Windows Mail wasn't able to automatically configure the account , you will receive another window to enter additional information. Email Address Username : Your full email address Password : Your email account password Account Name : SCTV Email or Mounet Email Send your messages using this name : Your Full Name Incoming email server : If your email ends with @mounet.com: mail.mounet.com If your email ends with @sctv.coop mail.sctv.coop Account type: IMAP4 Outgoing (SMTP) email server : If your email ends with @mounet.com: mail.mounet.com If your email ends with @sctv.coop: mail.sctv.coop Please check the following boxes : Outgoing server requires authentication Use the same user name and password for sending email Require SSL for incoming email Require SSL for outgoing email Click Sign in Outlook 2019 Setup Setup Guide for the Outlook 2019 application. Open Outlook. If this is the first time you have opened Outlook, you will be directed to the new account wizard. When the Welcome to Outlook 2019 box opens, enter your email address and click Advanced Options . Check the box for the option Let me set up my account manually and then click Connect . In the Choose account type window, select IMAP . Enter the following settings, then click Next : Incoming mail: Server: If your email ends with @mounet.com: mail.mounet.com If your email ends with @sctv.coop: mail.sctv.coop Port: 993 Encryption method: SSL/TLS Require logon using Secure Password Authentication (SPA): Unchecked Outgoing mail: If your email ends with @mounet.com: mail.mounet.com If your email ends with @sctv.coop: mail.sctv.coop Port: 587 Encryption Method: STARTTLS Require logon using Secure Password Authentication (SPA): Unchecked Click Next Enter your email account password, then click Connect . Navigating SFN TV Now on a Media Player Main Menu When you first open SFN TV Now, you should see the following options: Full Screen Channels List Guide Recordings Favorites Device Info The Channels List, Guide, Recordings, and Favorites options will be used for easier navigation with your SFN TV Now. Channels List The Channels List option shows a listing of channels that you are subscribed to that you can watch in real-time. You can use the up and down buttons to navigate the channel list. The asterisk button lets you see your options. The back button takes you back to the menu. Guide The Guide shows a listing of channels and the time they are playing. You are able to look ahead, and you can go back and Replay programs that were airing up to 24 hours ago. You can use the up and down buttons to navigate the channel list. The left and right buttons will let you see future and past programming for a channel. The OK or the asterisk button lets you see your channel options. The reverse button will make the guide go UP by sections or channels. The fast forward button will make the guide go DOWN by sections or channels. Features of the SFN TV NOW Guide In the guide, channels will have icons along with the number to help you remember the channels you love. The guide also provides a short description of the shows you might want to watch as you move over them using the arrow buttons. Recordings The Recordings option displays all of your recorded programs, and there is no limit to the number of recordings you can have. Recordings are stored in the cloud and viewable for 7 days. How to Record on SFN TV Now When selecting a channel, you can use the OK button or asterisk to reach the recording options. 3 Recording Options in SFN TV Now Record - This will record the show and add it to your recordings. Record Series - This will record all the episodes of the show you selected. Record Series (First Run) - This will record all the episodes of the show you selected, but only the NEW episodes. Favorites The Favorites List keeps the channels that you have marked as your favorite, and you can add or remove channels from your Favorites List at any time. Adding/Removing Favorite Channels When selecting a channel, you can use the OK button or asterisk button to reach the favorites options. If you want to save a channel to your Favorites List, you can choose Add to Favorites in the options menu when you are selecting the channel. If you want to remove a channel from the Favorites List, you can choose Remove from Favorites in the options menu when you select the channel. Other Features Replay Feature When selecting a program that aired in the past 24 hours, you can use the OK or asterisk button to select the Replay option. Simple Navigation If you are watching SFN in full-screen mode, you can use the up and down arrows to switch channels without using the guide. To get started, locate the HDMI port either on the side or back your your TV. Your Roku will plug into this port. SCTC recommends using the Roku Streaming Stick 4K or Roku Ultra for watching your SFN TV Now. If you do not have a Roku stick or SmartTV, we offer Roku Streaming Stick 4Ks for a monthly lease!
